It’s official! The Philippines will be one of the first few countries to get the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III via the country’s top leading networks — Smart Communications and Globe Telecom. Both will begin accepting pre-orders of the Galaxy S3 on May 23, 2012.

Samsung announced the latest member to its lineup of Android smartphones. As a budget Android phone in the company’s Galaxy series, the new Galaxy Pocket packs entry level specs and features, and aims to be one of the most affordable smartphones in the market. This device also measures a mere 11.98mm slim profile, and will tip the scales at 97 grams.

Samsung has just confirmed that it will be releasing two new Android phones at 2012 MWC next week. The new Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2, as their names suggest, will be replacing Samsung’s successful Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini devices with an upgraded processor, display, camera and other features as well.
