Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 unofficially lands in the Philippines!

The Galaxy Nexus, which was announced back in October, is the newest addition of Samsung’s Galaxy lineup and the product of the Samsung-Google collaboration which gets to experience first the latest Android OS called the Ice Cream Sandwich.

And finally, the Galaxy Nexus hits the Philippine shores and is now being sold by very few online and offline stores with a price tag starting at Php38,000!

Just a refresher, the Galaxy Nexus has a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It also boasts a 1.2-GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of internal storage.

As for the camera department, it features zero shutter lag and fast shot2shot via its 5MP primary camera which can record 1080p Full HD videos. It also includes a 1.3MP front camera for video calls.

It also shows off its lightness and slimness, weighing just 0.30lbs and measuring only 8.9mm in thickness. It has little “bumps” on the bottom and on the camera area though.

The Galaxy Nexus, as said, is now available in limited stores only, including the popular online gadget store, Widget City. They’re selling few units for Php38,800! It’s pretty much expensive (for now) but hey, you’ll be the first few to boast this much-anticipated device anyway.

UPDATE: Smartphone Noobies is also selling some units for just Php39,000. And since all of the readers on this site are eligible to acquire the Php1000 discount, then you can get this for as low as Php38,000!

Nevertheless, there’s no word on its official availability and pricing in the country yet. But I’m guessing it will be on January to February 2012.

Really disappointed with the type of customer service WidgetCity provides. Sayang they're among the few who offer these, too bad they don't give customer feedback, or answer any inquiries. Really lame customer service would soon equate to bad sales in the long run.

It's just the estimated (and unofficial) price, btw. I think it'll be priced at around Php35,000 as soon as it becomes official in the country.

Copy that. I'll be making an article about that this weekend. Keep in touch. Anyway, thank you again for your very kind words. People (or readers) like you are my inspirations to keep blogging and giving updates.

Good luck on your blog too bro! ☺

A 40k Ice Cream Sandwich phone? looks oh so yummy, but very steep introductory price!

Can't wait for ICS to rollout to the "other" devices. ;)

You should do a Siri vs. Iris/Eva article here Ram. You never fail to make the inner-geeks in all of us drool with these posts. Keep up the splendid tech updates! =)
