Nokia Philippines has officially launched and released the best smartphone in their Asha lineup, the Nokia Asha 303, which was announced just last month during the Nokia World 2011 event. Now available in most Nokia stores nationwide, the Asha 303 has a suggested retail price of Php6,490.
The announcement of its availability was made via a tweet from Nokia’s official Twitter account yesterday. It says: “Super-fast Nokia #Asha303 hits the first stores in Thailand and Philippines!”
As the most expensive smartphone in the entry-level Asha series such as the Asha 200, 201 and 300, the Nokia Asha 303 offers superior features and performance, powered by a single 1GHz processor with 128MB of RAM.
It also packs 100MB of free memory storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion and 128MB of RAM. It also includes a 3.2-megapixel camera that can record videos in VGA quality.
What makes the Asha 303 stand out from other affordable phones is that, it’s a touch-and-type full QWERTY smartphone and is powered by an easy-to-use user interface, which is Nokia known for.
According to Nokia, this phone was built “with Internet and social networks ease in mind,”. It comes with pre-loaded applications such as the newly released Nokia Maps for Series 40, Whatsapp and Facebook Chat. You can play Angry Birds here too!

As previously mentioned, the Asha 303 is now out in all Nokia stores in the Philippines and has a price tag of just Php6,490. It’s available in six vibrant colors: Red, Graphite, Silver White, Aqua, Green, and Purple.
However, according to reports, the Asha 303 is selling like hotcakes! Most stores in Metro Manila and other key cities in the country have reported sold-out units for this and promised to have more (new) stocks within the week or so, which is just perfect for the holidays!
The Asha 200, which is a dual-SIM-dual-standby phone, is expected to follow the Asha 303 few weeks from now. Most probably, the other Asha phones along the more expensive Lumia series will be released by early next year. Let’s just wait for the official announcement though.
