Meizu, a Chinese company known for their controversial designs that are apparently “inspired” from other well-known brands like Apple, has unveiled another iPhone-look-alike Android smartphone called the Meizu MX, which is the company’s first-ever dual-core handset.
The Meizu MX currently runs the Android Gingerbread but uses a custom user interface called the “Flyme OS”, which is closely similar to Apple’s iOS as seen in the photo above. However, Meizu promised that this device will be getting the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich early next year.
Aside from a whopping 1.4-GHz dual-core processor, this 4-inch device also packs 1GB of RAM and 16/32GB of built-in storage.
It also includes a powerful 8-megapixel primary camera capable of shooting 1080p Full HD videos and a 0.3-megapixel front camera for video calls.
Meizu MX specifications and features:
- Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with Flyme OS UI
- 4-inch ASV display (960 x 640)
- 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos 4210 dual-core chip
- 1GB of RAM
- 16GB of internal storage (32GB coming later)
- 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.2 lens, LED flash, back-side illumination
- 1080p video recording
- 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera
- microUSB slot
- 1,600 mAh battery
The Meizu MX is slated for release on January 1, 2012 in China and Hong Kong with a price tag of approx. $473 (~Php20,600). No word on its release in other countries, including the Philippines, just yet.

Nice post. I learn something more difficult on totally different blogs everyday. It is going to at all times be stimulating to read content material from different writers and apply a little bit something from their store. I’d choose to make use of some with the content material on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your internet blog. Thanks for sharing.
Merely a smiling visitor here to share the love (:, btw outstanding style and design. “Reading well is one of the great pleasures that solitude can afford you.” by Harold Bloom.

they are literally following Job's advice- "good artists copy, great artists steal" hahaha!
Great specs, indeed. But it would be better if they've come up with their OWN design. :P ☺
It does really look an iPhone but it got the BEST specs ever! This is a must have!
