Announced at the recently held CES 2012 where it has caught a slew of the consumers’ attention not because of any groundbreaking technology but because of its announced price, the Asus MeMo 370T definitely makes us drool over its mouth-watering specs with a price tag of just $249 (or ~Php 10,700).
Asus MeMo 370T specs:
- 7-inch capacitive display
- 1280 x 800 resolution
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- Tegra 3 Quad-Core CPU
- 16GB storage
- 1GB RAM
- 8-megapixel rear camera (no front camera)
- USB 2.0, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
- HTML/Flash support
Despite its cheap price, the MeMo 370T remains to be a powerful Android tablet on its class. This 7-inch Ice Cream Sandwich tablet with a 1280×800-pixel resolution packs a crazy Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor, 16GB of built-in storage, 1GB of RAM, and a very nice 8-megapixel camera!
It also comes with a good connectivity set including a microSD slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Again, all of these goodies for just $249! Crazy, right? Considering that it’s made by a trusted brand ASUS and not by any other Chinese brands or brandless Android tablets you see elsewhere. (No offense!)
It seems that they’re competing directly to Amazon’s Kindle Fire, which is basically for e-reading only. So that leads them to compete with Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s cheap versions of Galaxy Tab!
Asus failed to disclose the MeMo 370T’s international availability and pricing though. But hopefully, this will arrive by March and be priced under Php11,000!
