Alcatel just launched another affordable Android dual-SIM, dual-standby phone called the Blaze Glory 918N (a.k.a. Blaze Duo 918N). Alcatel’s entry-level offering is now available nationwide and has a suggested retail price of just Php5,999! Find out its specs and features after the jump!
The Blaze 918N is an all-touch smartphone with a 3.2-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixels) screen. It packs Alcatel’s top-of-the-line specs including a 650MHz processor, 150MB of built-in storage, a 3-megapixel rear camera, and a 1300mAh battery. A 2GB microSD card will be included in the retail package for the dual-SIM smartphone.
It also includes a pretty decent connectivity set, including 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Blaze Glory 918N comes out in two colors, black and white. You can buy a unit at any Alcatel OneTouch Kiosks nationwide.
It seems like Alcatel’s competing head-to-head against Samsung’s Galaxy Y Duos, which sells for around Php6,000 as well, and Lenovo’s A60 Android dual-SIM phone, which is priced at Php7,990. So, this is quite a good deal from Alcatel.

Pinag Compare ko 2ng phone na 2 sa SGY i found out na Mas Responsive ang Pinch to zoom ng SGY compared this phone at mas mabilis ang net ng SGY coz of the 832mhz processor compared sa 650mhz And mas responsive ang SGY kesa d2 ng konti pero yung screen display syempre mas Sharp sa SGY and the screen resolution is mas mataas katulad ng Ace and Ung gallery view nya tlga ung maganda compared sa other 2.3.6 Device . So Overall Ok parin pero Lack Of speed ng processor .

Have you checked the processor speed, this alcatel says 650 mhz only while galaxy y has 832mhz, if it does not bother you, maybe this is ok enough, pero ako nababagalan pa ako sa galaxy y what more kya si alcatel?

nagtatalo pa ang isip ko naka galaxy mini ako at nakita ko ang lahat na kailangan ko sa alcatel 918N lamang sabi ko sa sales lady ipakita mo sa akin na nagana ang GPS at bibilhin ko kaso di nia mapagana at marami pa raw process.anybody na nakagamit ng GPS ng alcatel anong say ninyo?

almost all androids have landed on my hand… for this one cheap na mabilis pa… alredy have one with 6 months to pay pa.. grabe very practical.. dual sim na 2.3 pa.. already sell my galaxy mini.. ot-918n is much better than any brand competing on the same platform and hardware… nice speed and program implementation.

talaga lang ha? ba’t andaming nagrereklamo ng mga alcatel phones sa fan page nyo. baka sa early stage lang siya maganda then after 2-3 weeks, wala na. tigok na. this is definitely disposable.
Had this phone for a month and I can say this is a really good deal for the price. Even better than Galaxy Y (Yuck…). Already downloaded a lot from app market and SWABE ang response. Screen and video capture is good. Music (and bundled in-ear buds) and multitasking is also good. It packs power if you know how to utilize it’s capabilities. With “Android”, the possibilities are endless!
Hindi ako nagsisisi na pinalitan ko yung wave 525 ko for this budget friendly (I avoid using the word cheap as this is not your ordinary “cheap” device like cherry or my-phone) smart phone.
I encourage people to give this one a try… 10/10 thumbs up for me (and it works for me too)!
