Amazon had finally put rumors to an end through officially unveiling its new tablet, the Kindle Fire. This 7-inch Android tablet only sells for only $199, which makes it a little bit the same or cheaper than the other Android tablets sold in the market. So, what made this so cheap?

The Amazon Kindle Fire has the very basic specs of a tablet, which may be just right for how much you paid. You can enjoy pretty basic stuff as well such as reading, watching movies, surfing the net, etc. What’s kind of disappointing is that, it doesn’t include expected features like a camera or microphone, 3G connectivity, etc.

But we cannot belittle this “one-of-a-kind” tablet because this might be a hit in the market and eats up the tablet competition which is currently dominated by Apple’s iPad.

The Kindle Fire might also be pretty fast since it runs a dual-core processor aside from the Android OS. The user will surely be very comfortable on handling this thing since it only weighs 14.6 ounces. The 8-GB internal storage is also a big advantage.

The Kindle Fire is currently being sold in the Amazon store offering a 30-day free trial in the US. However, it’s still unsure if it will be likewise sold here in the Philippines. If so, probably in late December.
